Israel Hidalgo is such and diligent professional. He put me at ease via the initial Resident Portal communications. He respected my boundaries and protocols as an American with Disabilities. He actively listened, was careful and thorough in his inspection of the malfunctioning washing unit. He was committed to an accommodating resolution. He also mirrored my patience as the machine break occurred right before a holiday weekend and maintenance team was reportedly slammed with overwhelming service orders upon return from holiday. When staff was ready I had medically related unavailability. It took time for both parties to book an appointment that worked with my unit entry preferences. Israel H. stayed kind, persistent, and easy-going, never generating an atmosphere that framed my needs as an inconvenience. You see this dude coming to help... you're in good hands.

I’ve been very happy living in this complex. The apartments are well-kept, the amenities are great, and the property is consistently clean. Management and the security team have also been professional and responsive, which makes a big difference. I especially love how walkable the area is—there’s so much nearby, and it’s incredibly easy to grab a Waymo or Lyft when needed. My only concern is the situation right outside the entrance near the 7/11. I’d love to see better management of the homeless presence in that immediate area to help maintain a greater sense of safety and comfort for residents.

Just let my review serve as a very good explanation for you. Think 100 times before you come here. This place is not worth the money. Including permanent additional fees in your check. Homeless under the house, homeless who sneak into the parking lot and wander there, then in the elevator the homeless mated gas and I was terrified when I entered the elevator. Alarm check at 8 a.m., which lasts two hours. And no one warns that she will hone all morning. The jacuzzi is turned off in cold weather, and the jacuzzi that works in the heat. Something breaks in the apartment all the time. Completely incompetent staff at the reception. Air conditioning in the gym is a separate topic. In the heat, it may not work for weeks. And you'd better go to a commercial gym. Because it's not the best place where you can training .

I love that the Ava Little Tokyo has events for the community. They keep it classy and make it fun. Mindfulness coloring, and clay was a good time for me and my son.

I don’t recommend for anyone to live here. The elevators are always broken. My AC has gone out. My closet needs to be fixed but I was told I would have to pay for it even though it’s wear and tear from before me. The locks or ap will reset and you’ll be locked out of your apartment. They do landscaping right outside my window when I’m trying to sleep. You have to pay a ton for parking and if you have guest come over they will get towed or their car broken into. They take forever to respond to request. The office staff always have their doors closed and are not available for questions or requests, you have to use their resident ap and wait for an email response. I inquired about breaking the lease because I hate it here and was given a list of astronomical fees making it impossible to move out early.

Nobody answers the phone in the leasing office, and usually nobody is there. Maintenance is not prompt to address issues. Frequently, delivered packages are left outside the lockers for anyone to take, because the delivery people cannot find someone in the leasing office to let them into the building. Highly disorganized and unprofessional. One time I went to the leasing office and someone was there, and she refused to help me because she was "on break". Well, if she is on break, there should be someone else working to address issues. The Latch system they use for entry into the bldg and apt is quirky and doesn't work all the time. Lastly, there is consistently dog poop and urine in the elevators almost every other day.

So far it's been a good experience. Staff are friendly. Elevators have been out once so far (been here only a few days). A lot of the male residents seem really disgruntled 🫪, while everyone else has been happy and friendly and introduced themselves.
